According to National Iraqi News Agency, Following directives from the Prime Minister, National Security Advisor Qasim al-Araji chaired an emergency meeting today, Sunday, to review the latest developments in the security situation and examine the overall challenges facing state institutions amid a rapidly evolving regional and international environment.’
The statement added that the meeting brought together senior officials from security, intelligence, and health sectors, along with representatives from the Ministry of Migration and Displacement.
Participants received a comprehensive presentation on the security and intelligence capabilities across various government branches, including a detailed assessment of readiness and inter-agency coordination.
The meeting addressed key challenges confronting Iraq’s security services, including enhancing operational efficiency, developing rapid response mechanisms, and countering emerging threats using modern scientific and professional methods.
