Baghdad: Sheikh Humam Hamoudi, head of the Supreme Islamic Council, recently engaged in discussions with Armenian Ambassador to Baghdad, Ruben Sogoyan, focusing on enhancing bilateral relations. The meeting, held at Sheikh Hamoudi’s office, aimed at exploring avenues for strengthening ties through increased trade and cultural exchange. Both parties also deliberated on aligning positions on crucial issues and advancing the Iraqi political process to establish the remaining authorities.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Sheikh Hamoudi highlighted Iraq’s dedication to independent decision-making that aligns with the people’s will and addresses current challenges. He expressed Iraq’s goal to act as a stabilizing entity in the region and a focal point for advancing security and interests through development.
Hamoudi underscored that common interests and mutual respect are essential pillars for global security and stability, advocating for countries to prioritize these principles over the use of force.
