Islamabad: Pakistani Prime Minister Mohammad Shahbaz Sharif announced that his country will not compromise on its defense, emphasizing that any aggression will be met with a decisive response. Sharif’s remarks came in a statement issued after what Islamabad described as unjustified movements by Afghanistan along the shared border.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Pakistani Prime Minister stated that his country has consistently adopted a peace-oriented approach, but will not allow any infringement upon its autonomy or territorial integrity. He added that the Pakistani armed forces possess the professional capabilities, high level of training, and defense strategies necessary to confront any internal or external challenges.

Sharif indicated that the Pakistani people and armed forces are ‘fully prepared’ to protect the country’s security, autonomy, and territorial integrity, stressing that maintaining security and stability ‘will not be compromised under any circumstances.’ For his part, Pakistani

He emphasized that the Pakistani army was not a distant power in the region, but rather a direct neighbor that understood the nature of the challenges surrounding it.
