Baghdad: President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid and King Abdullah II of Jordan emphasized the importance of respecting state sovereignty during a recent phone conversation.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Presidency revealed in a press release that President Rashid and King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan discussed the consequences of escalating tensions in the region and their impact on regional security and stability.

The statement highlighted that both leaders agreed on the necessity of coordinating positions concerning these developments, as well as intensifying diplomatic efforts to contain the tension and prevent its spread. Rashid underscored the importance of respecting state sovereignty, advocating for wisdom, and adopting political solutions to avoid further escalation and ensure the region’s security and stability.
