Iranian Officials to Oversee Transitional Phase After Khamenei’s Assassination


Tehran: Iran announced that three Iranian officials, including President Masoud Pezeshkian, will oversee the transitional phase in the country following the assassination of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei. Iranian television quoted Mohammad Mokhbar, an advisor to Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, as saying that these officials will manage the transition.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, Mokhbar explained that the three-member committee will include, in addition to Pezeshkian, the head of the judiciary, Gholam Hossein Mohseni Ejei, and a lawyer from the Guardian Council.
