Baghdad: The President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Faiq Zaidan, offered his condolences to the Iranian people on the martyrdom of Sayyid Ali Khamenei.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Zaidan expressed his sorrow in a statement, saying, “With profound sorrow and grief, we received the news of the martyrdom of Ali Khamenei, may God have mercy on him, who ascended to his Lord as a martyr and joined the ranks of his ancestors, the Ahl al-bayt (peace be upon them), and his martyred companions Soleimani, al-Muhandis, and Nasrallah, may God have mercy on them all.”
He further stated, “With his passing, the arena of truth has lost one of its most prominent knights and a great leader. As we feel the enormity of this loss, we extend our deepest condolences to the Islamic nation and the brotherly Iranian people, asking God Almighty to grant him His abundant mercy and inspire his family and loved ones with patience and solace.”
