Baghdad: The State Forces Alliance bloc on Sunday expressed condolences over the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Grand Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, describing the event as a significant loss and a pivotal moment in the history of the region.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the bloc issued a statement expressing deep sorrow and extending condolences to the leadership and people of the Islamic Republic of Iran, as well as to the broader Islamic community. The statement emphasized that Khamenei’s passing marks a significant loss in the modern history of the region.



The statement highlighted Khamenei’s role as a central figure in the Islamic Republic and the wider Muslim world, noting his influence on key issues and his defense of core principles.
