The Closure Of Iraqi Airspace Extended For 24 Hours


Baghdad: The Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority (ICAA) has announced the extension of the closure of Iraqi airspace to all arriving, departing, and overflying aircraft for an additional 24 hours.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the closure will take effect starting at 12:00 PM local time today (09:00 AM UTC) and will remain in place until 12:00 PM tomorrow, Monday. The decision has been implemented as a temporary precautionary measure.



In a statement, the ICAA clarified that the extension follows an ongoing assessment of the security situation, in light of recent developments and escalating regional tensions, and after a comprehensive review of all relevant data.



The ICAA emphasized that the decision remains subject to continuous evaluation and may be revised in accordance with any new developments. Airlines and relevant authorities will be promptly informed of any further updates.
