Manama: A Bahraini civil aviation official confirmed that Bahrain International Airport was attacked today by drones, resulting in minor material damage.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Bahrain News Agency quoted the official as saying that the relevant authorities had already activated approved emergency plans and taken all necessary precautionary measures, including evacuating the passenger terminal before the attack, in a proactive step aimed at protecting passengers and staff and minimizing any potential risks.

The official added that the relevant authorities have begun implementing rapid response protocols and are coordinating with other relevant agencies to ensure airport security and the safety of passengers and staff under all circumstances.
