Tehran: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani and King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain stressed the importance of strengthening Arab coordination to confront current challenges.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Prime Minister’s Media Office stated in a press release: “Al-Sudani held telephone talks with the King of Bahrain, Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, during which they discussed developments in the security situation in the region.”

The statement added: “Al-Sudani and Al Khalifa emphasized the necessity of an immediate cessation of military operations to prevent further escalation and tension in the region and to avert its descent into wider dangers.”

Both sides stressed the importance of strengthening Arab coordination to confront current challenges and the necessity for major powers and the international community to assume their responsibilities in stopping the war and maintaining peace and security at both the regional and international levels.
