Turkish President and German Chancellor Discuss Attacks on Iran


Ankara: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz discussed the US-Israeli attacks on Iran. The Turkish Presidency’s Directorate of Communications stated in a press release today, Monday, that Erdogan held a telephone conversation with Merz during which they discussed the attacks on Iran and the developments that followed.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Turkish President said that the conflicts in the region negatively affect regional and global security. Erdogan stressed the importance of intensifying peace-focused contacts and encouraging all parties to return to dialogue in order to achieve lasting de-escalation in the region.
