Baghdad: Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, has issued several directives to the armed forces aimed at securing the internal situation.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the directives include the punishment of the commander and intelligence officer from whose area of responsibility drones and missiles are launched. Additionally, army forces are to be deployed at all checkpoints, suspicious military and civilian vehicles are to be inspected, unlicensed weapons are to be confiscated, and surprise checkpoints are to be implemented.
