Washington: The US Energy Information Administration (EIA) announced on Sunday that Iraqi oil exports to the United States have declined for the second consecutive week.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the EIA stated in its statistics that the average US crude oil imports last week from ten major countries reached 5.665 million barrels per day, a decrease of 436,000 barrels per day from the previous week's 6.101 million barrels per day.

It added that the average Iraqi oil exports to the US reached 154,000 barrels per day, a decrease of 6,000 barrels per day from the previous week's 160,000 barrels per day.

The EIA indicated that the largest share of US oil imports last week came from Canada, followed by Saudi Arabia, Colombia, and Mexico. According to the data, US crude oil imports continued from Nigeria, Venezuela, Brazil, Libya, and Ecuador.
