Baghdad: The head of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), Bafel Talabani, announced that the PUK has submitted names of individuals and parties involved in attacks against the Kurdistan Region to Baghdad. He conveyed this message to the people of the Kurdistan Region, acknowledging the difficult times they have been enduring and expressing gratitude for their resilience and understanding.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Talabani emphasized the diplomatic efforts undertaken by the PUK in recent days. He highlighted the high-level discussions held with leaders from Iran, the United States, and Turkey, aimed at safeguarding the Kurdistan Region during these challenging circumstances. Talabani expressed optimism that recent statements by President Trump and President Pezeshkian would contribute to easing tensions in the region.
Talabani further stated that the names of those perpetrating attacks against the Kurdistan Region have been handed over to Baghdad, and he anticipates that Baghdad will take appropriate measures. He voiced confidence in Baghdad's commitment to preventing further escalation but also affirmed the PUK's readiness to address the issue independently if necessary. Talabani underscored Iraq's rich civilization and history, asserting that efforts for peace and stability should emerge from this region.
