Baghdad: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi reaffirmed Iran's stance on military engagements, stating that the nation does not initiate attacks on neighboring countries but instead retaliates against American forces stationed within these regions. During a press conference, Araqchi emphasized that Iran's military strategy focuses on responding to perceived threats rather than expanding its missile range.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Araqchi addressed recent claims made by former US President Donald Trump regarding Iran's missile capabilities. He assured that there are no plans to extend the range of Iran's missiles, countering Trump's assertions that Iranian missiles would soon be capable of reaching the United States.

Araqchi also confirmed reports about a US fighter jet's involvement in an attack on the Minab school located in southeastern Iran. He highlighted Iran's readiness to respond militarily in the event of a US ground invasion, indicating preparedness for defensive action if necessary.
