Baghdad: The Ministry of Oil has reassured citizens that there is no shortage of gas products in Iraq, with daily production currently at 7,300 tons.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Oil issued a statement on Sunday emphasizing that Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Oil Hayyan Abdul Ghani Al-Sawad has assured the Iraqi populace of the stable production levels. The production of gas cylinders has reached 708,952 cylinders, which translates to 8,507 tons per day. Furthermore, the daily allocation of liquefied gas for vehicles and residential complexes is 848 tons, contributing to the overall daily production rate of 7,300 tons.

The statement also highlighted that Iraq's strategic gas reserves remain robust, with surface reserves at 40,388 tons and underground reserves at 50,000 tons, totaling 90,388 tons. This level of reserves underscores the country's preparedness to meet its gas needs even amidst regional uncertainties.

The Ministry reaffirmed its dedication to maintaining responsibilities during these sensitive times, ensuring a consistent and effective gas supply to the citizens of Iraq.
