Baghdad: Muqtada al-Sadr, leader of the Sadrist Movement, has instructed the Peace Brigades to focus solely on humanitarian duties amid challenging circumstances.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Sadr's directive was communicated by Saleh al-Iraqi and emphasized the need for the Peace Brigades to concentrate on humanitarian efforts due to increasing threats both internally and externally. Al-Sadr invoked divine protection for Iraq, its sacred sites, and its people, acknowledging attempts to harm the nation.

In his message, al-Sadr mentioned plans for a subsequent statement that will direct the opening of the al-Sadr family guesthouse. The directive will also include granting special authorizations for medical, service, and humanitarian aid in collaboration with the al-Bunyan al-Marsous administration. Al-Sadr expressed a desire for Iraq to be shielded from colonialism, terrorism, extremism, and corruption. He concluded by expressing faith in divine support for Iraq's success.
