Tehran: Sheikh Asad Qasir, representative of the late Ayatollah Khamenei, announced the election of Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei as Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the announcement marks a new chapter in the leadership of Iran's Islamic Revolution. Sheikh Asad Qasir confirmed that Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei has been chosen to succeed his late father, Ayatollah Khamenei, as the country's Supreme Leader.
