Najaf: The Minister of Interior, Abdul Amir al-Shammari, who also serves as the Head of the Supreme Security Committee for the Million-Person Pilgrimage, convened an extensive meeting at the Najaf Governorate Police Command headquarters. The purpose of this meeting was to deliberate on the security plan necessary for the commemoration of the wounding and martyrdom of the Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him).

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Mufid Salem, the media officer for the Najaf Police, reported that Al-Shammari directed the enhancement of vigilance levels among security forces. He also called for improved coordination between all security and service formations. These measures are aimed at ensuring the successful execution of the pilgrimage, which draws a significant number of participants annually.
