Baghdad: The Ministry of Labor has announced the commencement of applications for postgraduate studies specifically for people with disabilities. This initiative is set to begin for the 2026/2027 academic year, with over 160 seats dedicated to this group, following the approved regulations and in collaboration with universities and colleges. This effort is grounded in Law No. 38 of 2013, as amended.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Commission for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and Special Needs within the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs emphasized that this initiative aims to expand higher education opportunities for individuals with disabilities, promoting their academic advancement on equal terms. The Commission has made it clear that interested applicants can download the application form, designated as Form No. 600, from the Ministry of Higher Education's website. Currently, more than 164 applicants have shown interest in this opportunity, signifying an increasing demand for educational access among people with disabilities.
