Kirkuk Suspends Official Working Hours for Commemoration


Kirkuk: Kirkuk Governor Ribwar Taha has directed that work be suspended in government offices, all schools and kindergartens, Kirkuk University, and private colleges for tomorrow, Wednesday, March 11, 2026, on the occasion of the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him).



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the decision to suspend official working hours aims to allow residents to observe and commemorate the significant religious event. The anniversary of Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib’s martyrdom holds great importance in the region, prompting the local government to facilitate participation in related events and observances.
