Baghdad: The Ministry of Communications issued a directive on Tuesday to begin implementing a 20% tax on internet subscriptions and prepaid mobile credit cards for telecommunications services in Iraq.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a document issued by the ministry mandates the implementation of the tax on internet services and prepaid credit cards according to established financial procedures, encompassing services provided by telecommunications companies and internet service providers in the country.
