Baghdad: The General Military Inspectorate at the Ministry of Defense has undertaken an inspection tour of the Military Housing Directorate alongside its affiliated departments. This initiative is part of the inspectorate’s ongoing oversight responsibilities to verify the administrative and technical operations within the ministry’s institutions.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Defense revealed through a press release that the inspection comprehensively covered specialized, technical, and administrative areas. It also included assessments of physical training levels, marksmanship skills, and evaluated the execution of local defense plans and firefighting procedures. These evaluations were aimed at assessing the readiness of the directorate’s headquarters to manage potential risks effectively.
The press release further mentioned that during the tour, the director of the Military Housing Directorate provided an extensive briefing on the directorate’s functions. This includes managing all properties and assets owned by the Ministry of Defense and handling legal issues by filing lawsuits and representing the ministry in courts and other pertinent authorities.
