China Warns of Impact on Gulf Trade Amid Middle East Tensions

Beijing: China’s Foreign Ministry has issued a warning about the potential repercussions that ongoing tensions in the Middle East could have on the nation’s trade with the Gulf region. The ministry emphasized that the current situation could significantly impact China’s export activities.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the ministry detailed its actions in a recent press release, confirming the evacuation of Chinese citizens who were stranded in the Middle East. The ministry has been actively engaging with various parties involved in the crisis, underlining the importance of respecting state sovereignty. It highlighted China’s primary goal of contributing to the cessation of military conflict in the region.

The Chinese Foreign Ministry also mentioned that its special envoy for Middle East affairs is currently conducting a tour of the region. The focus of this diplomatic effort is on maintaining the security and stability of the Strait of Hormuz, which is deemed to align with the shared interests of the international community.
