Earthquake Measuring 3.4 Recorded on Iraqi-Iranian Border


Baghdad: An earthquake measuring 3.4 on the Richter scale was recorded on the Iraqi-Iranian border, as announced by the Iraqi Meteorological Organization and Seismological Survey.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the organization stated that its seismic monitoring stations detected the earthquake on Wednesday, near the Iraqi-Iranian border, a specified distance east of the city of Khanaqin in Diyala Governorate. The statement highlighted that residents in proximity to the epicenter did not feel the tremor.



The organization urged citizens to refrain from spreading false news and rumors and emphasized the importance of adhering to the earthquake safety guidelines provided by official authorities.
