Al-Moussawi and Sheikh Hamoudi Call for Expedited Resolution of Constitutional Entitlements


Baghdad: The head of the National Approach Alliance, Abdul Hussein al-Moussawi, and the head of the Supreme Islamic Council of Iraq, Sheikh Humam Hamoudi, emphasized the urgency of intensifying consultations to expedite the resolution of constitutional entitlements.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the media office of the National Approach Alliance released a statement indicating that al-Moussawi met with Sheikh Hamoudi to discuss the latest developments on both national and regional fronts. The discussions highlighted the rapidly evolving situation in the region, particularly focusing on repeated attacks on Iraq’s sovereignty and aggression directed at the Islamic Republic of Iran. Both leaders expressed their rejection of military escalation and any attempts to broaden the conflict, advocating instead for a ceasefire and a return to diplomatic efforts.



On the national stage, the statement detailed that al-Moussawi and Sheikh Hamoudi stressed the necessity of intensifying consultations to quickly resolve constitutional matters and form a fully empowered government. This step is seen as crucial to address the current challenges facing the nation.
