The House of Representatives Adjourns Its Session

Baghdad: The Iraqi Parliament adjourned its session held today, Thursday, during which it voted to dismiss Haider Makkiya, head of the National Investment Commission, from his position after questioning him in absentia, and referred the files to the Federal Integrity Commission.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the session concluded with the decision to remove Makkiya due to concerns raised during the proceedings. The questioning, which took place without Makkiya’s presence, led to the decision to refer related files to the Federal Integrity Commission for further investigation.
