Sudani Engages with National Position Bloc and Kurdistan Islamic Union Coalition

Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani received a delegation from the National Position and Kurdistan Islamic Union parliamentary blocs on Thursday. The meeting focused on current national developments, regional conflicts, and their impacts on Iraq.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Prime Minister’s Media Office highlighted that discussions included the ongoing regional war’s repercussions and its influence on Iraq. The meeting condemned attacks on Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) positions in various governorates. The delegation firmly opposed the targeting of Iraqi territory and its use as a base for launching attacks against other countries.

The statement also underscored the need to strengthen cooperation and integration between the executive and legislative branches. Emphasis was placed on developing a shared vision and unifying positions among national forces.
