Baghdad: The Customs Authority announced the seizure of a container of contraband medical supplies at the Southern Region Customs Directorate.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Investigation and Anti-Smuggling Department of the Southern Region Customs Directorate, acting on information from the National Security Service, intercepted a container filled with medical supplies and other miscellaneous materials. The seizure was due to the absence of official documents and the necessary approvals for the shipment.

The Customs Authority’s statement emphasized the ongoing efforts of customs personnel, in coordination with relevant security authorities, to prevent smuggling and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and laws.
