Iraqi Meteorological Organization Predicts Temperature Drop in Central and Southern Regions

Baghdad: Weather forecasters predict a further drop in temperatures in the coming days.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Iraqi Meteorological Organization has forecasted a decrease in temperatures for the upcoming days, notably in the central and southern regions of the country.

A statement from the organization detailed that the weather from Monday to Thursday will remain clear, with temperatures staying consistent with the previous day. However, on Wednesday, a slight temperature decrease is anticipated in the central and southern areas, while temperatures in the northern region are expected to remain stable compared to the preceding day.

The organization outlined the maximum temperatures for Monday across various Iraqi governorates. Dohuk and Sulaymaniyah are expected to experience 39°C, Erbil 41°C, and both Nineveh and Anbar 42°C. Kirkuk will see temperatures of 43°C, with Salah al-Din reaching 44°C. Baghdad, Diyala, and Karbala are forecasted to have 45°C, while Wasit, Babylon, Diwaniyah, Najaf, and Muthanna will face 46°C. The highest temperatures are expected in Maysan, Dhi Qar, and Basra, each experiencing 47°C.
