Baghdad: The Ministry of Education has announced a significant change in the retake system for students, now including sixth-grade primary and third-grade intermediate school students. This decision allows students who did not pass the first round of exams to participate in a second round, irrespective of the number of subjects in which they were unsuccessful.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry, through its General Directorate of Evaluation and Examinations, confirmed that this change will be implemented during the 2025-2026 academic year. The decision was made following the latest session of the Advisory Board.
