Beirut: The Secretary-General of the Arab League has voiced strong criticism against the Israeli army following its destruction of an entire neighborhood in the Bint Jbeil district of southern Lebanon. Nabil Fahmy, the Secretary-General, labeled the demolition as a continuation of what he described as Israel's "brutal behavior."
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Fahmy's statement highlighted that the policy of collective punishment against the local population represents a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law. He emphasized that the targeting of civilian areas only serves to heighten civilian suffering and destabilize the principles of international law.
Fahmy urged the international community, and particularly the Security Council, to take decisive action against what he terms Israeli expansionism. He called for immediate measures to halt these violations and ensure the protection of civilians in the affected region.
