Venezuela Earthquake Death Toll Rises to 3,535

Caracas: The death toll from the two consecutive earthquakes in Venezuela has climbed to 3,535, as announced by Venezuelan authorities. These devastating earthquakes struck the nation on June 24, leaving a trail of destruction in their wake.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the number of injured individuals has reached 16,740, while 17,854 people have been displaced from their homes. The previous death toll was reported to be 3,342, highlighting the increasing impact of the disaster.

The first earthquake, registering 7.5 on the Richter scale, is noted as the strongest to hit Venezuela since 1900. The second tremor followed 39 seconds later, with northern Venezuela bearing the brunt of its effects.
