Iran Closes Airports and Cancels Flights in Hormozgan Province Amid Security Concerns


Hormozgan: Iran announces the closure of airports in Hormozgan province and the cancellation of flights until further notice due to security concerns in the region. The director of airports in Hormozgan province confirmed the suspension, highlighting the impact of the current situation on regional air travel.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the recent developments come amid heightened tensions following attacks on the port of Sirik, located in the east of Hormozgan province. The director of the Ports and Maritime Organization in Hormozgan reported that the port was targeted twice by forces from America and Israel, leading to significant disruptions.



The attacks on Sirik port resulted in injuries to three individuals and caused damage to one of the docks, further escalating the security concerns in the area. The ongoing situation has necessitated the suspension of airport operations, affecting both domestic and international flights, as authorities assess the evolving security landscape.
