Ankara: On the sidelines of the NATO summit in Ankara, Turkey, Bulgaria, and Romania signed a memorandum of understanding to address mine clearance in the Black Sea. This agreement marks a significant step toward establishing a “Military Action Task Force for the Black Sea,” aimed at strengthening maritime cooperation among the three nations.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the signing ceremony was attended by Turkish Defense Minister Yasar Gler, Bulgarian Defense Minister Dimitar Stoyanov, and Romanian Defense Minister Radu-Dinel Miruta. The event was held during the 36th NATO Summit in Ankara, as reported by a statement from the Turkish Ministry of Defense.

The statement further detailed that the defense ministers convened at the Presidential Complex in Ankara. Their discussions centered on exploring avenues to enhance military and maritime collaboration between their respective countries, underscoring a shared commitment to regional security and stability.
