Kuwait city: In the first visit to the Gulf since the formation of the new Iraqi government, Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein departed for Kuwait on Wednesday for an official visit. This marks a significant step in strengthening ties between Iraq and Kuwait.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Fuad Hussein announced the visit through his social media account, referring to Kuwait as a “sister nation” and emphasizing the importance of the visit in fostering fraternal relations. He expressed the intention to discuss ways to enhance the interests of both Iraq and Kuwait during his meetings.

The Foreign Minister is joined by National Security Advisor Qasim al-Aboudi, Basra Governor Asaad al-Eidani, and a senior delegation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This visit aims to reinforce diplomatic relations and explore avenues for cooperation between the two countries.
