Diwaniyah: The local government in Diwaniyah has formally requested that the central government convene a cabinet meeting in the province to tackle pressing issues and challenges. Governor Abbas al-Zamili emphasized the necessity of this meeting to address the various problems and deficiencies experienced by the region.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Governor al-Zamili stated that Diwaniyah is prepared to outline all the issues it faces concerning public services and development projects across multiple sectors. A significant concern highlighted by the governor is the insufficient financial allocations, which have hindered the province’s ability to progress and resolve ongoing challenges.

Governor al-Zamili further stressed the importance of cabinet-level decisions to effectively address and mitigate the province’s problems. The resolution of these issues, he indicated, is contingent upon receiving adequate attention and resources from the central government, which necessitates the proposed cabinet meeting.
