Baghdad: The Karkh Investigation Court has issued two arrest warrants against former MP Bassem Khashan. The charges against Khashan include deliberately damaging public funds and soliciting personal gain in exchange for performing his official duties.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Supreme Judicial Council has also issued prison sentences against defendants Qasim Dakhil Kashish and Haider Saeed Musa. Their case involves soliciting funds related to the former MP, Bassem Khashan. These legal actions underline ongoing efforts to address corruption and hold public officials accountable in the region.
