Iraqi Ministers and US Deputy Secretary of Energy Discuss Strengthening Energy Sector Cooperation

Baghdad: The Ministers of Oil and Electricity in Iraq have engaged in discussions with the US Deputy Secretary of Energy to explore avenues for enhancing cooperation in the energy sector. Oil Minister Basim Mohammed Khudair al-Abadi and Electricity Minister Ali Saadi Wahib met with US Deputy Secretary of Energy James Danley to deliberate on strengthening bilateral cooperation and developing the partnership between Iraq and the United States.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting included key figures such as Basim Abdul Karim, Director General of the Basra Oil Company, and Ali Nizar, Director General of the State Oil Marketing Company (SOMO). Discussions focused on the prospects for joint cooperation and expanding the partnership to benefit both countries in the energy field.
