Ministry of Oil Engages with Chinese Firm to Boost Al-Ahdab Field Production

Baghdad: The Ministry of Oil is actively engaging with a Chinese company to explore ways to develop the Al-Ahdab oil field and improve production efficiency. The Undersecretary of the Ministry for Extraction Affairs, Naseer Aziz, held discussions with Jiang Ming, the General Manager of Al-Waha Petroleum, to enhance joint cooperation in the oil sector. This initiative is aligned with the Ministry's strategy to increase production efficiency.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Undersecretary was informed about the current and future plans of Al-Waha Petroleum, along with the progress in their ongoing projects. Aziz stressed the importance of continuing with the development plans to sustain oil production and achieve the shared objectives of both parties. Al-Waha Petroleum, a Chinese company, is responsible for the operations at the Al-Ahdab oil field located in Wasit Governorate.
