Baghdad: Iraqi government spokesman Haider al-Aboudi stated that the meeting between Al-Zaidi and Trump underscores Iraq's strategic significance. Al-Aboudi emphasized the importance of this meeting in highlighting Iraq's role on the international stage.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Aboudi mentioned that there are no longer any justifications for the presence of international forces in Iraq. He further noted that while the government comprehends the various contexts involved, the ultimate authority concerning the control of arms remains solely with the Iraqi government.
