Prime Minister Al-Zubaidi Announces Plans for Economic Cooperation with the United States

Washington: Prime Minister Ali al-Zubaidi has emphasized that his visit to America is not merely ceremonial, but aimed at establishing important economic cooperation with the United States.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Zubaidi made this announcement during a joint press conference with US President Donald Trump. He stated that the visit marks the beginning of significant economic collaboration, with American forces set to withdraw from Iraq, paving the way for American companies to enter the market.

Al-Zubaidi further mentioned that by the end of September, there will be no need for any armed factions in Iraq, and the government will not permit any entities to carry weapons outside of state institutions. The Prime Minister highlighted that numerous weapons have already been surrendered by some factions, and the government is open to cooperating with those who choose to engage in political activities.

On the topic of oil exports, al-Zubaidi expressed Iraq's intention to secure a fair share within OPEC, while also revealing that the country's financial losses due to terrorism have surpassed $400 billion.
