Baghdad: The governor of Kirkuk, Mohammed Saman Agha, has called for an urgent meeting with the province’s representatives, council members, officials, and experts to address the electricity supply privatization project. The meeting aims to discuss the effects of the Ministry of Electricity’s billing project, initiated during the previous government’s term, and to formulate a unified decision to be presented to Baghdad.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the focus of the meeting will be on ensuring that the rights of Kirkuk and its residents are preserved amid the proposed changes. The governor emphasized the importance of a collective decision to safeguard the interests of the province in light of the proposed privatization.
