Baghdad: An expanded security meeting was held this morning at the headquarters of the Najaf Governorate Police Command, chaired by the Deputy Commander of Joint Operations, Lieutenant General Qais al-Muhammadawi, to discuss the security and service plan for the Arbaeen pilgrimage. The meeting focused on mechanisms for securing the governorates involved in the pilgrimage and the routes of the pilgrims.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting was attended by several high-ranking officials, including the Assistant Chief of Staff of the Popular Mobilization Forces for Operations, Yasser al-Issawi, the Commander of the Middle Euphrates Operations, Major General Ali al-Hamdani, the Commander of Wasit Operations, Ahmed al-Makssousi, and the Commander of the Najaf Governorate Police, Major General Muhammad Jaber al-Fatlawi. Additionally, a number of police commanders from the relevant governorates were present.

The officials reviewed the security and service procedures and discussed mechanisms for enhancing coordination between units and security agencies. The aim is to ensure the smooth flow of pilgrims and provide a safe environment for the success of the Arbaeen pilgrimage.
