Baghdad: The specialized court of the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) has sentenced four individuals affiliated with the ISIS terrorist organization to 15 years in prison, after the completion of comprehensive legal and investigative procedures. These individuals were apprehended by the Investigations and Preventive Security Directorate, a branch of the PMF’s General Directorate of Security and Discipline.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the PMF announced in a press release that the arrests were made possible through precise intelligence and intensive field efforts. These efforts allowed authorities to locate and capture the individuals in compliance with legal procedures.

The statement further detailed that investigations confirmed the individuals’ connection to the ‘Fallujah Province’ of the ISIS organization. Following the conclusion of the investigations, they were transferred to the specialized court of the PMF, which imposed a fifteen-year imprisonment sentence as per legal provisions.

The General Directorate of Security and Discipline within the Popular Mobilization Forces reiterated its ongoing dedication to executing its security and intelligence responsibilities. This includes pursuing terrorist operatives and sleeper cells to ensure they are brought to justice, thereby helping to reinforce security and stability while safeguarding citizens.
