Baghdad: A gas filling and services company has announced a strategic initiative to address the needs of citizens and Husseini processions during the Arba’een pilgrimage of Imam Hussein. The General Company for Gas Filling and Services has launched a service plan that includes the mobilization of its technical, administrative, and logistical efforts to ensure a consistent supply of essential resources.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the company’s Director General, Anmar Ali Hussein, detailed the execution of this plan in a recent press release. He emphasized the company’s commitment to dedicating its resources and equipment to guarantee a smooth supply of liquefied petroleum gas (cooking gas) cylinders along the pilgrimage routes to Karbala. The services are to be available from early morning until late at night, covering all necessary logistical needs.

The Director General highlighted that the company’s proactive approach includes operating plants at full capacity and mobilizing government filling formations to meet the increasing demand for liquefied gas. The plan also involves direct sales of filling cylinders to citizens and procession organizers at an official price, aiming to prevent exploitation. Additionally, the company is prepared to supply liquefied gas for vehicles to ensure uninterrupted transportation, maintain a strategic reserve for emergencies, and support service processions with necessities such as chilled water and ice.

Hussein further noted that the plan’s implementation will be closely supervised by the Minister of Oil, the Undersecretary for Gas Affairs, and the company’s senior management. This oversight aims to ensure the quality of services, address any obstacles, and fulfill the needs of millions of visitors during this important occasion.
