Baghdad: A large fire broke out in several shops in the Al-Usra neighborhood of Al-Suwaira district, north of Wasit Governorate, causing material damage. Civil Defense teams managed to control the blaze and prevent it from spreading to neighboring shops and homes.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Wasit Civil Defense Director, Brigadier General Taher Hamid, stated that Civil Defense teams were able to control the fire and extinguish the flames, preventing it from spreading to neighboring shops and homes. He further mentioned that a specialized committee has begun conducting an on-site investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
