Baghdad: Deputy Speaker of Parliament Farhad Atroshi and President of The Supreme Islamic Council of Iraq Sheikh Humam Hammoudi have declared their backing for initiatives by the government and judicial authorities aimed at tackling corruption.
According to Iraqi News Agency, the Deputy Speaker's Media Office issued a statement indicating that Deputy Speaker Farhad Atroshi, along with several parliament members, convened with Sheikh Humam Hammoudi. The meeting focused on Iraq's latest political developments and the legislative body's national and constitutional duties.
The statement further elaborated that both leaders pledged their support for the government and judicial efforts to fight financial and administrative corruption. This support aims to safeguard public funds, bolster stability, unify political forces' visions to serve national interests, and fulfill the aspirations of Iraqi citizens.
