Karbala: The Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) have initiated efforts to secure the route for Arba’een pilgrims traveling through the northern regions. The 16th Brigade, operating under the Northern and East Tigris Operations Command, has embarked on its mission to safeguard pilgrims journeying from northern provinces to the sacred city of Karbala to observe the Arba’een of Imam Hussein.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the PMF released a statement detailing that brigade units have been strategically positioned along designated roads and axes. This deployment is part of a comprehensive security plan aimed at protecting pilgrims, enhancing overall security, and ensuring the smooth passage of individuals. The coordinated efforts with other security forces are expected to significantly contribute to the successful execution of this large-scale pilgrimage.
