Baghdad: A medical team at the Martyr Dr. Majid Al-Jubouri Center for Digestive and Liver Diseases and Surgery in Babylon successfully performed an endoscopic procedure to extract a mobile phone from the stomach of a 36-year-old man. The complex procedure was led by gastroenterologist and hepatologist Dr. Ahmed Abdul-Abbas Bayram.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the patient, who was suffering from psychological disorders, did not require surgical intervention for the removal of the mobile phone. The procedure was deemed successful, and the patient was released from the center in stable condition. Babylon Health Media Director Luay Al-Rassam confirmed the details of the medical intervention and the patient’s subsequent recovery.
